July 1st (delayed post)

On July 1st we woke up @ like 6am, went to catch the flag raising ceremony, but then kns, the policemen anyhow point us here and there and due to other reasons (nature's call)... in the end we lost our way abit and missed the ceremony... only saw the red coloured boats sail here and there... yeah!! - - "
Some kids that'd participated in the event
Some fountain... i dunno where..or rather forgotten

Victoria Park where the gathering of the demonstrators took place...Its the meeting place for the maids i think.. saw a lot a lot of them here.. abit like orchard area during the weekends, just that there arent many banglas here to make friends with them.. @@;

Donation drive by the democratic party ..

Flags... armed and ready.. (we have other goodies too though, all free)

The top 3 pictures are the assembly point, there are multiple stages like the one above where people will be leading them to sing some songs.. I dunno canto, so i find it rather amusing.. . The 2nd picture depicts an old men with his story written on some paper (on how communist china has treated him), there are many dozens of such old people in the march..

The start of the march/demonstration

shout shout shout ...
Not only pro-democrats were demostrating that day.. see this black American? there are many of them all scattered along the path of the march.. The Filipinos were demostrating for higher pay too, but they seem more to be out for fun/gathering rather then really fighting for their rights... the pro-democrats were more serious.. (at the end of the day, they still have to go back to their employees' home to do their cleaning right?)

Trams were stop to allow demonstrators to march.. Funny thing was , police actually hold up traffic for the demonstrators.. hmm.. live in harmony?

Oh and finally at the end of the day at 8pm, a half an hour display of fireworks too place at the Avenue of Stars , at TST.. Even though we didnt have a good spot to watch the show, its was really mesmerizing and the best fireworks display i had ever witnessed. Pictures cant really capture that magnificent display, i am still trying to figure out how to upload videos.. give me a few days..
